Samba Brasil
Samba Brasil has been
called “sparkling... breezy... sensuous... swinging” as well as “a simmering
mix of Brazilian music and jazz.” Since 1994, the group has delighted
audiences throughout New England with their fresh variations on the samba -
the national dance and passion of Brazil. Samba Brasil performs their own
original songs alongside those of composers like Tom Jobim, Ivan Lins and
Djavan. A Samba Brasil show always includes bossa nova, baião, batucada and
funk, and the very special touch of American jazz played by some of New
England's premiere performers.

Cookie Thomas
Richard "Cookie" Thomas had the opportunity,
at fourteen, to open for B.B. King. He continued to add to this list of
music legends, while singing with local favorites the Royal Kings, by
opening for acts such as, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Little Anthony,
AWB, and a host of other well known acts. Richard also performs with a wide
variety of super talented local, as well as, international artists. Richard
has four recordings to his credit.
Richard enjoys swinging to the sounds of the
50's and 60's. His voice is especially suited to well-known classic
standards. His style is compared to the likes of Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls,
Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Hartman. In fact, you can hear a bit of each one
when Richard sings

Annie Ross, White has led his own groups since the mid 70's at venues such
